Niagara Scientific's sister company, Precision Scale & Balance, recently renewed its accredited calibration certification through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
To complicate this rigorous biennial assessment, this year’s audit was held virtually for the first time due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. During the filmed audit, calibration technicians from the Buffalo branch demonstrated their expertise calibrating scales and balances, calibration weights, pipettes, thermometers, and electrical and dimensional equipment, among other instrumentation.
There have been some changes to the scope, which can be downloaded on Precision Scale & Balance's accreditation page. In particular, we encourage current and prospective customers to review our new mass metrology uncertainties. Due to continued investment in state-of-the-art calibration equipment and training, Precision Scale & Balance can be counted among the best calibration companies in the country in mass metrology. Precision Scale & Balance is proud to have maintained A2LA accreditation since 2004. The current accreditation is valid through Oct. 31, 2022.
